With the rise in popularity and availability of New Adult books, and may I just say a big YAY to that, Penguin UK are planning to publish two previously self published New Adult books in 2013 - Easy by Tammara Webber and Reason to Breathe by Rebecca Donovan. I am delighted to welcome both ladies to the blog today as part of the Love Hurts Blog Tour in order to share their playlists for the books. Just in case you haven't heard about them, here's some information:
Easy
A girl who believes
trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is
an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask
unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other
validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?
When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.
Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.
When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

Reason to Breathe
"No one tried to get
involved with me, and I kept to myself. This was the place where
everything was supposed to be safe and easy. How could Evan Mathews
unravel my constant universe in just one day?"
He knows there’s something more to the girl sitting in the back of the class the moment he sees her. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and athletic – but she slips quietly through the crowded halls, trying not to exist. Determined to get to know the elusive girl, Evan soon discovers…
Emma Thomas is hiding a terrible secret.
Reason to Breathe is an electrifying page turner from start to finish, a unique tale of life-changing love, unspeakable cruelty, and one girl’s fragile grasp of hope.

I always like to find out what music inspired the writer or what music fits with particular scenes and so I'm glad Tammara and Rebecca shared this with us today. Do check out the rest of the Love Hurts Blog Tour where you can read extracts and win prizes.
I read these books and they are just amazing. I already read Easy something like three times and I'm thinking to read again Reason to Breathe. I'm that in awe with these novels. :)
ReplyDeleteOh My! I just adore Easy. I only picked it up in November and have already read it twice. I just had to buy a paperback copy to add to my shelf despite owning the ebook.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out Reason To Breath. Thank for the heads up
