"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine , that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on...hence the title. This week's pick is Stolen Night by Rebecca Maizel. Here's the synopsis:
"Lenah Beaudonte should be dead. But having sacrificed herself to save another, she finds herself awakening with strange powers that are neither vampire nor human - and a new enemy on her trail. In her vampire life, Lenah had thought that being human was all she ever wanted; but the human heart suffers pain, heartbreak and loss. With her new powers growing and the dark force of the Nex after her soul, Lenah faces a choice: between the mortal love of gorgeous Justin, whose passion fed her human soul, and taking a different path to become the mistress of her own destiny, wherever that may lead..."
I just read Infinite Days recently even though I've had the book on the shelves since it was published and I really enjoyed it. It read like a standalone to me but I knew there was a sequel arriving imminently. Interestingly enough, it looks like it's called Stolen Nights (plural) in the US and Stolen Night here in the UK. I have no idea why and sadly, the sequel will not be in hardback like the first book *sadness* but still, isn't the cover beautiful? I have to say that I'm incredibly curious to see how the story unfolds and I'm looking forward to reading it. Stolen Night (s) is published on 5th July, 2012 in the UK and 4th September, 2012 in the US.

ReplyDeleteI've had Infinite Days on my bookshelves for ages now as well and still haven't read it, really must bump it up!
I haven't heard of this series, but it sounds great!
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous cover. I haven't read Infinite days yet but own the HB & PB in it (you know how it is lol) Shame this isn't going to be in HB though, I bet it'd be stunning!
