An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.
Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.
Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

I absolutely LOVED Throne of Glass and don't be fooled by the fact that my review isn't up yet - I've been working on it for so long as I'm a bit behind and I find it really hard to write reviews for books I loved (strange, I know). Anyway, may I say that the cover is as KICK ASS the first one and I'm delighted to see that the Americans have finally come around to our way of thinking and are using the same image. I only wish they had done that for the first book as now the hardbacks won't match. Special edition, anyone? I can't wait to read the next installment in this series and I only wish it was August already! Pre-ordering!
Crown of Midnight is published on 15th August, 2013 in the UK and 27th August, 2013 in the US.
Still need to read this! And the cover for the second one is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThrone of Glass was one of my favourite books last year so I'm stupid excited to read this. I feel like I've had it on pre-order for forever...
ReplyDeleteI love how the covers match-she looks so powerful in both!
