Can Tessa pose as Madison . . . and stop a killer before it’s too late?
Tessa is a Variant, able to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and mimic their appearance. Shunned by her family, she’s spent the last two years training with the Forces with Extraordinary Abilities, a secret branch of the FBI. When a serial killer rocks a small town in Oregon, Tessa is given a mission: she must impersonate Madison, a local teen, to find the killer before he strikes again.
Tessa hates everything about being an impostor—the stress, the danger, the deceit—but loves playing the role of a normal girl. As Madison, she finds friends, romance, and the kind of loving family she’d do anything to keep. Amid action, suspense, and a ticking clock, this super-human comes to a very human conclusion: even a girl who can look like anyone struggles the most with being herself.
NS: Hi Alec! *swoons* Tell us a bit about yourself. Tessa is a Variant, able to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and mimic their appearance. Sounds awesome, right?! And that cover is amazing. Anyway, as part of the blog tour I just so happen to have been granted an interview with one of the characters. Please welcome Alec who is one of Tessa's best friends and a fellow FEA agent.
Alec: I’m an agent for the FEA. I’ve been living with them since I was a little kid.
NS: I guess that means you’re a Variant like Tessa, right? So, what can you do?
Alec: I have physical Variation. I’m stronger and faster than ordinary people.
NS: Kinda like Superman ;) When was the first time you met Tessa?
Alec: Two years ago. Major and I went to pick her up from her home.
NS: You’d make a cute couple.
Alec: *Tenses* Tessa is a capable agent and a friend.
NS: Hmmm...A cryptic reply.
Alec: *Stares*
NS: Okay. Next question. Why did you choose to join FEA?
Alec: Choice wasn’t involved. FEA found me after I survived a fall that should have killed me. They took me in and taught me everything I know.
NS: What did your parents say to that?
Alec: *Pulls down the collar of his shirt, revealing a black dragon tattoo on his shoulder* This tattoo hides a scar I got thanks to those people. They couldn’t have cared less if I lived or died. FEA saved me.
NS: Tell us, what was your most exciting mission?
Alec: I don’t talk about missions. And excitement isn’t really my main concern when it comes to them.
NS: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Alec: Hopefully alive. *Gets up* *Glances at his watch* Are we done?
NS: Of course. Thank you so much for being on the blog today! *shouts* GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MISSION!!!
Imposter is published on 28th May, 2013 in the US and I am pleased to tell you that it will be published in the UK in February, 2014. The book has already been optioned for TV by Warner Brothers!
