Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine , that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on...hence the title. This week's pick is Ten by Gretchen McNeil. Here's the synopsis:

"
And their doom comes swiftly.

It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury.

But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.

Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off the from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?"

So, first things first. Awesome cover, right? And does this read like a movie or what?! It may not be an original plot but I'm still excited to read it and find out who the killer is and why. I'm really hoping that Gretchen will shock the hell out of me and surprise me at every twist and turn. No pressure there, Gretchen!

Ten is published on 18th September, 2012 and if you're in the US, you can win an ARC on Goodreads now. Gretchen does not have a UK publisher as of yet but I'm thinking this may need to change ;)

  1. I love the look of this. Definitely looks good. Hope we both enjoy it! Even if we don't have a publisher yet...The Book Depository to the rescue!

    1. Surely Gretchen's books have to come over to the UK someday but as you say, in the meantime we have online sellers. Thanks for commenting :)
