Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine , that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on...hence the title. This week's pick is Tris and Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison. Here is the Goodreads description:

"A modern retelling of the German legend "Tristan and Isolde", "Tris and Izzy", is about a young witch named Izzie who is dating Mark King, the captain of the basketball team and thinks her life is going swimmingly well. Until-- she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love with Tristan, the new guy at school.
Light, contemporary romantic fantasy for teens
."

I've not heard of this author before but will you LOOK at that cover? It's absolutely gorgeous and secondly, a modern day retelling of Tristan and Isolde? YES PLEASE! We've got a bit of a wait for this one as it isn't published until October, 2011 in the US. No news about the UK that I'm aware of but isn't that what online resellers are for?! I'm adding this book to my wishlist right now. To find out more about the author, click here. She is also on Twitter.
